Valve is back yet again with another exhilarating lineup of Dota 2’s The International (TI) 2025.

With the TI 2025 opening matches concluding on September 7th, the Couriers are ready, Lotus Pools have refreshed, Roshan has spawned, and we’re all set to watch the teams fight for the largest share of the $2.4 million prize pool.

Valve is back

In this article, I’ll cover the teams competing, the contenders to look out for, and most importantly, how you can watch TI 2025 live online, streamed straight from Hamburg, Germany, through the internet.

So, let’s blink right into the action.

Dota 2 TI 2025: Where to Watch?

The first part of the TI has already concluded, but you can catch the match highlights on YouTube and Twitch. The main event kicks off on Thursday, September 11, at the Barclays Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

If you’re looking to watch the tournament live, I have multiple options listed for you. Let’s place some Observer Wards and take a look at the streaming platforms where you can follow all the action.

youtube LogoYouTube should be your top pick to catch all the scoop related to The International 2025. Like other streaming platforms, you’ll find streams available in different languages, mainly English, Spanish, Chinese, and Russian.

By now, you might be wondering how to watch Dota 2: The International on TV. Unfortunately, TI 2025 won’t be broadcast on traditional TV; it’s only available on streaming platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.

However, you can also catch the tournament directly in-game by heading over to the Watch tab in the main menu. In fact, the in-game is probably the best way to watch The International 2025.

Team Nemesis: Filipino Squad Returns to TI

After proving themselves in multiple scrim matches, Team Nemesis was set to participate in The International this year after beating all odds.

Team Nemesis is the first all-Filipino squad to make it to The International since TNC Predator in 2019.

Eljohn "Akashi" Andales, star player for Nemesis, was heavily targeted during their match with BOOM, who countered their Ursa pick with Axe. This led to a 0-2 loss for Nemesis, who were eliminated in the early stages.

While Nemesis was the first team to exit The International 2025, they played brilliantly against Team Falcon.

Tundra Esports: Visa Drama & Resilience

Tundra made a name for themselves after winning The International 11 by winning against Team Secret in the grand finals without losing a single series.

This year, they are facing a major setback for TI 2025 due to Visa issues. On X and Instagram, Tundra Esports announced that Whitemon wouldn’t be able to play in TI 2025 due to Visa complications.

Now, the team is going to adapt at the last second with Tobias “Tobi” Buchner as a stand-in. While this unfortunate roster change could spell doom for the team in TI 2025, I don’t expect Tundra’s performance to drop in the tournament since Tobi has been training for The International over the past few weeks.

The International: Global Fan Stories

It wouldn’t be a Dota 2 tournament without some heartwarming fan stories. While the in-game chat might tell you otherwise, Dota 2 fans are some of the friendliest and most helpful people out there.

You might remember the story about a Chinese Dota fan who went to watch last year’s The International 13 and had their money and travel documents stolen 12 hours after getting off the plane. Down on their luck, they asked for help on a Chinese gaming forum.

And they wrote it best: “I didn't expect that when you are low on health, your teammates’ TP will light up.” Chinese Dota 2 fans, XinQ and SuanTou from XG, reached out and offered help to the player.

This isn’t all, the Reddit Dota 2 community is filled to the brim with fan stories from all over the world, guaranteed to warm your heart.

Results for the Group Stages and Elimination Rounds were unexpected, to say the least. Now, with the Playoffs a few days away, put on your Tranquil Boots, check your internet speeds, and get ready to TP into one of the best TIs you’ll witness in Dota 2 on September 11th.
